The object of the food fest is to support and promote local producers from the Dorset, East Devon & Somerset area with the unique Dorset Knob Throwing contest attracting publicity and visitors.

The event has the support of Moores, the producers of the famous Dorset Knob, Direct from Dorset and the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Partnership.

The event attracted around 5000 visitors with 50 local food producers taking stands. The response from these suppliers, participants in the Knob Throwing, and visitors together with the media interest has been overwhelming and we are confident in attracting even more people in 2011.
A selection of stands will be offered to suit all budgets and these will be located either in the exhibitor’s marquee or in the nearby Savill Hall. Outside pitches will also be available in the adjacent Playing Fields
